We are very excited to add Mel to the Healing Hands Team! Some of you may have already had the opportunity to work with her when she interned here last summer.
Mel made the decision to change careers from management to massage in 2021, when she began her training at the well-respected Bancroft School of Massage in Worcester. Her training includes Swedish, Sports and Deep Tissue.
She offers a medium/deep tissue massage which is both therapeutic and intuitive. Depth can be adjusted to suit each clients' needs. She is looking forward to expanding her knowledge in the field and working with new clients.
When not massaging, she enjoys spending time with her 12 and 9 year old boys, strength training, cooking, and gardening.
Healing Hands specializes in providing licensed and experienced massage therapists for therapeutic services. We believe in providing the highest quality of services and professionalism to all our clients at all times.
Come enjoy a relaxing environment at our Milton, MA location for massage therapy and bodywork that is designed to help you heal your body.
This is your perfect massage for that “me time” moment in your week. To ease the tensions of life’s everyday stresses through a combination of long gliding strokes and kneading. This “traditional” massage energizes the body by stimulating circulation.
HOT STONE MASSAGE
The ultimate deep relaxation for both body and mind using smooth, heated basalt stones which are placed on specific acupressure points on the body to melt away knots, tension and stress. Stay warm and toasty while realigning your chakras, during this peaceful massage.
Designed to affect the deep portions of thick muscles, specifically the individual muscle fibers using mostly petrissage, trigger point therapy, stretching and friction. Perfect for relaxation, but also a focus on working out any persistent knots caused by everyday wear and tear on the body.
This massage is designed for any stage of pregnancy using a combination of sideline and semi-reclined positioning techniques. The massage focuses primarily on areas of discomfort, such as lower back, hip area, ankles, joints, and neck/ shoulder areas. This massage also helps decrease water retention and improve circulation. Both mommy and baby will greatly benefit from their relaxed state.
NEUROMUSCULAR MASSAGE THERAPY
Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) assesses, treats, and prevents soft tissue injuries and chronic pain. This concentrated approach, using the treatment of trigger points, is for those with chronic pain or repetitive stress injury.
